Obsidian Dusk Studio focuses on dark fantasy oil-style works inspired by monumental architecture and forgotten civilizations. Each piece emphasizes heavy impasto texture, dramatic chiaroscuro lighting, and carefully controlled tonal depth to create powerful vertical compositions suitable for large-scale wall display.
My work begins with structural composition and value blocking. I focus on vertical dominance and monumental scale before refining lighting contrast. The final stage emphasizes heavy impasto texture, directional brush movement, and controlled tonal separation to preserve depth and atmosphere.
Each piece is developed as part of a cohesive world, ensuring consistency in material, lighting, and emotional weight.
I create my works digitally while intentionally emulating traditional oil painting techniques. The process involves layered texture building, tonal sculpting, and surface refinement to achieve a tactile impasto finish reminiscent of coarse canvas.
All final works are carefully optimized for large-format metal printing, with enhanced midtone clarity and edge definition to maintain visual strength at distance.
